Caprese Salad

Great for family BBQ’s or as a side salad

Recipe:

A great Caprese salad starts with great ingredients. This recipe is meant for summertime, when tomatoes are at their juiciest, sweetest, and most flavourful.

Fresh Tomatoes
1ball fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
Fresh basil leaves
Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling
Flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method:

-Arrange the tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil leaves on a platter. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Try mixing up by adding your own twist:

Balsamic vinegar or balsamic reduction
Pesto
Sliced peaches
Fresh mint leaves
Avocado slices
Strawberries
(it’s worth a try!)
