And so it begins …

And so it begins …

This week I have completed the final module of my diploma and just waiting for my Certificate to arrive in the post. Meanwhile I’ve had a masterclass on Social media from my lovely niece .

A lot of this stuff is is way out of my comfort zone, I’m sure a lot of you will relate! So bear with me whilst I adjust and learn and no doubt make mistakes, but send me your feedback… good or bad 😊

We had a lovely morning chatting about ideas for my blogs, going through different strategies, looking at all the different social media channels. Its a whole new world !!

I also got distracted by Pip my Border collie shoving her favourite teddy in front of the screen in a bid to move our attention to play, and also by the sour dough bread I was baking for our lunch which made my tummy rumble. (We then enjoyed some sour dough rolls for lunch – which was very much appreciated!)

In a future post I’m going to be talking about sour dough and why its so good for you, with a practical demo of what I’m talking about. Also sharing lots of simple recipes for nutritious but quick meals, so there will be no more excuses for reaching for the ready meals or ultra processed foods many people turn to when they say they are too busy to cook!

I’d love to hear from you with your recipe ideas for healthy and quick meals and would be grateful if you could like & share my posts to spread the word about what I am doing. I’m hoping to build a supportive network for the women I am coaching and I know I can rely on your support .

Congratulations with everything you have achieved so far! Can’t wait to see where your journey takes you!
Can I ask- why is it you get stomach cramps as if you’re having a period, when you’re not! I used to get them monthly but now they are random and sporadic!

Would also be great to know any supplements you would recommend to help improve the ‘symptoms’ of menopause!

looking forward to your next blog!

hi Julie , try increasing magnezium in your diet . Almonds , cashews ( max 30g per day ) edamame beans , black beans are all high in magnezium. Take a bath in Epsom salts which are high on magnesium and will help with muscle relaxation . Also diaphragmatic breathing will stimulate your vagus nerve and your parasympathetic nervous system ( which is our rest & digest mode ) , reduces cortisol ( fight or flight hormone ) and helps reduce blood pressure . Hope this helps ☺️
