The dawn of a new year is often a time for setting ourselves goals and challenging ourselves to finally lose weight, get fitter, do more exercise and eat healthily… but how many of us actually succeed in making lasting change?

Its easy to set ourselves unreachable goals that we will never achieve and then beat ourselves up for it. But what if you had someone who could help you set achievable goals, broken down into small manageable steps and work along side you to achieve them? That way you could make small wins which eventually add up to large changes that will make a huge difference to your future health and happiness.

6 years ago, aged 50, I was at rock bottom- feeling very unfit, stressed and 2 stone over my comfortable weight as well as being diagnosed as pre-diabetic, this came as a huge shock as I had always been very active and fit and thought that I was eating healthily (having a degree in Home economics and having worked in the food industry for 35 years -I thought I knew about food and nutrition).
But as I came to learn, Menopause can change our health dramatically if we do not change our lifestyle and dietary habits accordingly, and what works when we are younger does not necessarily work as we age and transition through the 3 stages of Menopause.

I worked with Dr Wendy Sweet on her 12 week program and I have never looked back, in fact I made changes which were so profound that I became passionate to learn more and then share my knowledge with other women and help them change their future health as I have done.
After studying with Wendy to learn all about the physiology of Menopause, weight loss in Menopause and learning how to be a Menopause practitioner, I went on to study for a diploma in Health coaching with the College of Naturopathic Medicine, I left the food industry and set up my business in order to follow my passion to help other women.

I have now set up my own 12 week tailored programme in which I work on a 1:1 basis with my clients to help them overcome their Menopause symptoms, lose weight, sleep better, reduce stress and educate them about the correct Nutrition and lifestyle choices for this transitional stage of life.

The program starts with a fully confidential & detailed health assessment to ensure that I fully understand your requirements. I provide recipes and suggested meal plans tailored to my clients needs and have weekly face to face or online calls in which we agree an achievable plan for the following week.

I provide information on the science behind Menopause weight loss (if this is a requirement) and an understanding of why we suffer from many of the various Menopause symptoms and how to improve them (and in most cases get rid of them completely) including depression or low mood, painful joints and muscles, gut health problems, bloating, IBS, insomnia, dizziness, migraines and headaches, chronic fatigue, anxiety, palpitations and many more!

In between our weekly meetings I will set up a WhatsApp chat so that we can keep in touch and you can ask any questions, request any additional information, recipes and let me know any symptoms you may be experiencing.
Best of all you can tell me how you are progressing and we can celebrate every small step you are making (I love this bit !!) here is an example from one of my clients who has finished her 12 week course, but keeps me posted on her continued progress.

I will be with you every step of the way, we will make small, manageable changes and you will be amazed how they add up to make a huge impact on how you feel. But you do have to be committed and consistent in implementing the changes I am suggesting.

My name is Nicky Dear and I am a qualified Health coach specialising in helping women to make sustainable changes to their Nutrition and lifestyle which will have profound effects on their future health.
